Bonham Elementary provides visual art experiences
developmentally appropriate for students in grades pre-k through
fifth. Our art classes promote academic success through
problem solving, building confidence, and enhancing creativity.
The art curriculum is based on the objectives and concepts from
the Fine Arts Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, the
educational goals from the state of Texas. In conjunction
with the TEKS, the Discipline Based Art Education strategy, which
includes art history/culture, art criticism, art production, and
aesthetics, is a major focus in the art curriculum.
