Bonham Elementary provides visual arts experiences developmentally appropriate for students in grades Kindergarten to Fifth. Our art classes promote academic success through problem solving, building confidence, and enhancing creativity.
The art curriculum is based on the objectives and concepts from the Fine Arts Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, the educational goals from the state of Texas. In the art room, we study the “elements of art” and “principles of design,” creating artworks reflecting these goals. The art room is not the only place where art can be found at our school.
The Art Club at Bonham is an active group of fourth and fifth graders who have a passionate interest in art. We are involved in art enrichment activities that promote the love of art on our campus.
